The East Fork Of the Chippewa River rises in marshes of the southwest corner of Iron County, Wisconsin northeast of Glidden. It flows southwest mostly through marshes and forests much of the way through the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. It joins the West Fork at the Winter Dam on the southeast corner of Lake Chippewa. The Chippewa River then flows south from the Winter Dam.
